Leif Garbisch
Leif Garbisch studied literature at Columbia and Brown, which lead to a life of house construction and to a world of inspired writing and photography. He has published four books: The Shore, Found Light, Transformation, and Shared Sky.
Eric G. Müller
Eric G. Müller was born in Durban, South Africa. After graduating from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, he continued his studies in England and Germany, focusing on drama, music and education. Together with his family he moved to Eugene, Oregon, where he taught for eight years. Since then he has lived in upstate New York, teaching music, drama, English literature, and creative writing, at the Hawthorne Valley Waldorf High School. He is also the director of Teacher Education at the Alkion Center. He has written eight books, including The Invisible Boat (Waldorf Publications, 2014), and Life Poems for My Students (Alkion Press, 2016). Poetry, articles and short stories have appeared in many journals, anthologies and magazines.
Elryn Westerfield
Elryn Westerfield was born to the caw of seagulls and the sound of surf ringing in her ears. Extensive travels have taken her around the world in pursuit of knowledge and experience, both exoteric and esoteric. Elryn currently lives in rural New York.
Ella Manor Lapointe
Ella Manor Lapointe is a graphic artist and freelance illustrator who works in a variety of mediums and techniques. She studied art and painting for five years in the NeueKunstSchule (NewArtSchool) in Basel, Switzerland. She is currently working on a number of children’s book projects.
John B Thomson
Education, philosophy and art have been the passions of John Thomson's long life. After studying humanities and law he turned to teaching and eventually found his vocation in Steiner education. After 25 years teaching children he moved to Emerson College to train teachers. This required research on the philosophical basis of the education. He gave public lectures on the tasks of education and philosophy which involved travels in USA and Asia. On retiring he has added painting and poetry to his activities.
Gary Lamb
He is the Director of the Hawthorne Valley Center for Social Research and its Ethical Technology Initiative, which is located in the Hudson Valley region of upstate New York. His technical background includes a degree in civil technology and employment in the fields building construction, medical technology, and manufacturing. Prior to working on A Road to Sacred Creation,he edited Steinerian Economics,a compendium of Rudolf Steiner’s perspectives on economics, published by Adonis Press, and has written three additional books on Waldorf education and associative economics available from Waldorf Publications.
Daniel Stokes
Daniel is a storyteller who has worked as a primary grades’ teacher for the past 30 years. Throughout that time, hundreds of stories have been told to children ranging from 7 – 14 years old. Some of these stories were created specifically with individual students in mind. The Eagle Flew is one of these. Daniel Stokes currently lives with his wife in Portland Oregon where he spends time training teachers in the art of poetry and storytelling in the classroom.
Aisha Lani Wiig
Aisha spent her first decade in Hiroshima, Japan before moving to Southern Oregon. Though art has always been a passion, Aisha’s journey has brought her to a career in wildland fire management with a keen dedication to stewarding our earth. She is also currently pursuing a Masters in Natural Resources Stewardship and hopes her illustrations will spark curiosity in children to venture into the natural world.
